Our approach to hints
We believe hints should actually help. Not so vague that they are useless, and not so obvious that they steal the satisfaction of solving it yourself. Every hint we write goes through one simple test: would a stuck player find this genuinely useful without feeling cheated out of the win?
Who writes this
HintWordly is run by a small team of word game players who have tracked every Wordle puzzle since the game launched. We do not publish celebrity bylines or pen names - we simply show up every day, check the puzzle, and write the best hints we can.
Our editors verify each answer directly from the New York Times puzzle before anything goes live. If we make a mistake - wrong answer, wrong hint, wrong difficulty rating - we correct it within the hour. Accuracy matters more to us than anything else.
We have been doing this every single day since early 2022. No days off.
